Austin grew up in Victoria County, where he developed a deep connection to the land. His journey began at Oconnor River Ranch, assisting in managing their headquarters. Later, he took on the role of grounds manager at San Ysidro Brazos, where he played a key part in developing a polo field and was instrumental in designing the ranch. Austin’s hands-on skills extend to operating and maintaining all ranch equipment, ensuring everything runs smoothly.

Tiamo grew up on the beautiful island of Maui, where she began playing polo at the age of 9. From early on, she combined her love for riding with a remarkable talent for training young horses, developing a true passion for their care and development. Her polo game grew more serious through high school and continued to flourish in adulthood when she left Maui to pursue her polo career on the West Coast and the Pacific Northwest.

She honed her skills working with George Dill before becoming the assistant trainer at AF Pony Farms in California during the winter, as well as supporting their breeding program in Texas year-round. Over four years at AF Pony Farm, Tiamo helped saddle break 10-12 two-year-old colts annually and successfully sold horses to professionals and amateurs across the country. This role provided her with priceless experience and connections, including meeting Alston Beinhorn, who shared her passion for raising top polo ponies.

Together, Tiamo and Alston built San Ysidro Brazos, a premier Texas breeding, training, and sales farm, where she spent the last decade training horses that went on to compete at the highest levels of the sport, as well as excellent amateur horses all over the country. The closing of San Ysidro Brazos has given Tiamo and Austin a chance to start their own horse and cattle business. They will need support from their clients and peers for this new venture..
